Hello, I feel the need to send data along with an event_generate().
If I understand correctly, this is not yet possible with Tkinter. However, I see that a patch was proposed in 2008: http://bugs.python.org/issue3405 "Add support for the new data option supported by event generate (Tk 8.5)"
What is the status of this patch? Is there a problem with it? Will it be accepted?
