Hi Vasilis and Michael, I thought you could use xev just by starting it in another shell with "xev -id <win_id>". Or do you lose some info by running it this way? (I mean even more than by the other heavy restrictions - they seem to make xev useless for event debugging. I'll have to look at the other tools you mentioned one of these days...)
