Sounds very nice to me. I chose Perl for my general purpose logger too, because it seems to be the perfect language for data-processing as needed for a logbook program. Contest rules, even with the most absurd scoring, could quite easily be implemented in Perl indeed. I actually started working on my own contest software, completely written in Perl, a while ago, because it seemed impossible to me to integrate some contests, without enormous effort, into TLF. > That's why I will gradually release perl modules which together will > make a new tlf in the future. Do you mean TLF will be Perl-only in the future, or just the scoring? Anyway, I would be pleased to help in any way, if needed. 73, -- Fabian Kurz, DJ1YFK * Dresden, Germany * http://fkurz.net/ Online log: http://dl0tud.tu-dresden.de/~dj1yfk/log.html _______________________________________________ Tlf-devel mailing list Tlf-devel@nongnu.org http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/tlf-devel
