So, what's the purpose of this? I just discovered my RAC Winter contest log is 5 hours off because I put TIME_OFFSET=5 into my logcfg.dat after I came across it in the logcfg.dat example. It has a helpful comment of
################################# # # # Time offset from UTC # # # ################################# so I figured ... what the heck. Eastern standard time is 5 hours from UT. Clearly it was not the right thing to do. 73, Pierre VE3KTB
