Sorry, I wasn't clear - by "expire" I meant "deleted by my 'tmda-pending -q -b -d -O 14d' cron job"... > The .delivered_cache mechanism and messages that hang around are not > permanent "features" of TMDA! Yes, that's the idea - but I just need the "-d" option to work. > I'll defer this to Jason, but this seems to be a simple addition. OK, I can't imagine it should be too hard... > On the other hand, it doesn't really solve the pending queue problem, > since most messages (the SPAM) will not ever be processed and will > therefore remain in pending/ forever, unless you regularly run > tmda-pending and delete older messages. I'm aware of that, I wan't to use the new option as an addition to the 'delete messages older than 14 days' job mentioned above. I often get send large legitimate emails (over 1MB), and if diskspace is limited (say 10MB on an account), there is no need to occupy this amount of space once the message is cleared and delivered to me. That way messages are deleted when they are delivered and if not, at least after two weeks. (Ofcause I could just whitelist everybody that might send me large files, but still..) Regards, Kent B.
