OK.  That looks like the original confirmation request, not the
release.  You need to run all of this simultaneously, with
multiple shell windows and tail -f of the appropriate logs, to
figure out what's going wrong.

Doesn't look like it.  However, which version of TMDA are you
running?  There have been changes to the pending queue and release
method (not too recently) which might cause older pending messages
to misbehave.  But that's a guess.
