The key is ``may never hear from again''. I get mail all the time from people I haven't heard from in years. How would they feel if they have to re-confirm their message after TMDA already told them they wouldn't have to ever do this again? There's really no way to tell when someone might contact you again. I also don't understand what you'd want to do this? TMDA can search a list of 100,000 e-mail addresses (stored in a CDB or DBM) is about 1/10th of a second, so it can't be for reasons of speed. If you still want to do this, I like David's suggestion of writing a new CONFIRM_APPEND file every month, and then purging entries from old CONFIRM_APPEND files with your own scripting. In short, TMDA provides enough flexibility to allow you to do this, without having to introduce the tremendous overhead of writing comments, reading comments, and removing lines from files upon each incoming message. _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
