I've never used Postfix, so I can't really address that side of your questions, but I have gathered that TMDA was probably originally built with QMail in mind, and as such, works well with QMail virtual domains (which is not to say that it won't work with Postfix virtual domains, just that I don't know how). Some of the later additions weren't built with virtual domain support, like tmda-ofmipd. However, this appears to be changing. The CVS version of tmda-ofmipd now has support for VPopMail and VMailMgr virtual domains (both of which are only useful to QMail users). It think much of the problem is that there are so many ways to do the same thing with QMail and virtual domains. And also that every MTA implements virtual domains in it's own way. Hopefully someone with some Postfix knowledge can help you with your other questions. Good luck! -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O.
