Hello, I am a newbie to linux but hopefully I think I have a little bit of grey matter between me ear's.......? My email address is provided by my ISP... and I pop my email using fetchmail ( single drop ) Outgoing mail is handled by Postfix and uses my ISP as a relayhost
I seem to be having problems with TMDA's confirmation requests, A unknown senders email arrives for [EMAIL PROTECTED] and TMDA replies with a " Please confirm your message" the sender replies as per instructed..! and rightly TMDA receives the email reply from the sender and instead of processing to to whitelist / blacklist / confirmed etc......, TMDA promptly proceeds to send another "Please confirm your email address" ..? I have done some local lan testing between two mail servers set-up on different test domains to simulate mail arriving from my ISP, And sent mail between the two servers locally and everything works great........ Please forgive me if this seems to obvious to others, currently Iam not using tmda-ofmipd on the mail server...? I am using outlook locally on a laptop...? to send test emails to the mail server, could the reason for TMDA not tagging the email messages properly, Be due to the omission of tmda-ofmipd. Possibly I need to set this up to tag all mail being received from local clients. Any suggestions would be a great help..... Think TMDA is really great if I can only get it to work....
