Is there any chance of convincing your sysadmin to use Maildirs for mailbox
storage? If you use Maildir you could run something similar to this via cron:
find /home/*/Maildir/.Spambox/{new,cur}/ -mtime 7 -exec rm -f {} \;
Where .Spambox is the Maildir that the .qmail-spam delivers confirmation
bounces. Messages would be deleted after 7 days.
If you are using mbox it may be a little more difficult. I am not sendmail
guru, but I believe that you can use procmail or safecat to deliver into
Maildirs.
Good luck,
Cory
