Folks,

I am not a newbe to UNIX, but I no cron export, either... I saw in
the FAQ how to use tmda-pending in a cron ob to clean out and get
updated info about the pending queue. I liked the idea so I tried
to do that for my user. I tried out the commands on the command
line and I recieved the emails I should have received. But I have
never recieved the emails from the cron jobs.

I am on a Solarirs 8 (SPARC) machine.

As my users, not root, I ran crontab -e and entered this:

00 4 * * 3 /usr/local/tmda-0.68/bin/tmda-pending -sbdO 30d | /usr/ucb/mail -s "TMDA
deleted from pending" [EMAIL PROTECTED]
15 4 * * * /usr/local/tmda-0.68/bin/tmda-pending -Cbs -O 48h | /usr/ucb/mail -s "TMDA
new in pending" [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Does anyone know if there is something special I need to do to
reload cron or get cron to run my job? There is no
/etc/cron.d/allow and my user is not in the /etc/cron.d/deny

Sam
