I've got a small problem, maybe someone had a similar case and can share a solution.
I have an old, outdated email alias [EMAIL PROTECTED] which is maintained by a provider. The alias points to an account on my server and forwards all mail to it. This alias is also part of a group alias called [EMAIL PROTECTED] (so if anyone sends something to [EMAIL PROTECTED], it's resent to my address and a couple of others). I don't use this address anymore but some people still write to me to this address, both the single one (tonid) and the group one (redakcja). I'd like to be able to inform them about the change of addresses and request confirmation (since also a lot of spam comes to these aliases, really a whole big lot...). The problem is that if someone sends mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED], in my logs it shows an envelope-sender of [EMAIL PROTECTED], and... this is an alias to an inexistent mail account, so a reply to it generates a bounce back to me... I was trying to create a confirm autoresponse for all people that write to this outdated address, but I can't, since all confirmation requests go to this inexistent alias [EMAIL PROTECTED] as this is the envelope-sender, and not to the address in "From"!... I was trying to find a way to set up TMDA for this account so that all replys go to the address in "From:" and not to the envelope-sender, but I failed to find such an option 8///... Any ideas on how to get around this?... -- tomasz 'tonid' nidecki, zoliborz, warszawa, poland mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://endemic.org http://mp3.com/tonid http://mp3.com/knownspace * Moses gave the Egyptians 10 plagues.
