Howdy list, I've got a quick question:
Is the FROM header in an email generated by the MTA? Or is it generated by the MUA? I have a contact who replied the dickens out of one of my confirmation requests, but his MUA must have been set to reply to the FROM header, rather than the Reply-To header because he never sent a message with a confirm stamp. It would be slick if I could get the FROM header to contain the full confirm address too. Or would that open me up to a lot of falsely confirmed spam (from, like, a bounce or something)?
