My guess on this would be that the omega13 user might have accessed their mailbox with something that may have changed the format of the file from mbox to something else. As a resolution, I would suggest having the user empty their mailbox, then delete that file and allow it to be recreated again. If it's being created by something that writes in the mbox format, it should be ok from that point. I'm personally not 100% on the differences between the different file formats, but I have run across documentation that shows what the file differences are... just can't think of where to find that right now. If it continues to happen, you may need to find out if anything else (aside from your mail delivery program and the mail client) is accessing and writing to that file.
