Hi everyone,

I've been battering my head against this for the better part of a day,
and can't work out where I've screwed up, so here goes.

I have TMDA set up with qmail on a Mandrake 9.0 system.

The qmail server is really only ever going to get used to send stuff out
- I'm on a dynamic IP, and don't have any DNS pointing at my system - so
I just use qmail for sending mail, and for doing local delivery (along
with procmail, and TMDA).

The problem I'm having is that the confirmation messages which TMDA is
sending out arrive at the desitnation email address with a broken
Reply-To: - instead of putting the hostname of the email I want to use,
it's just putting in @localhost - which is obviously :

a) wrong
b) never going to work in a million years :)

The thing is, I can't work out where the issue is.

My ~/.tmda/config has a HOSTNAME set to the mail server I want the
replies delivered to - and a USERNAME set too - neither of which seem to
be being used.

The username part is going out as 'bryan', but the account on the email
server requires 'godeater', and as I said before, the hostname is
localhost, rather than my.email.server as I would expect.

So is it qmail which is broken here ?

Any pointers, much appreciated!

Bryan Childs
