fetchmail is re-writing the recipient information on it's way into qmail as [EMAIL PROTECTED] - so this is currently the recipient information being used by TMDA.
I'm using fetchmail with qmail too. To get around the @localhost issue, I put this in my .fetchmailrc file:
smtpaddress arda.homeunix.net
So mail addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] will get delivered to that address instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED]
