All, I have somewhat successfully configured my TMDA and man does it stop spam in its tracks.
I am running qmail 1.03 vmailmgr tmda 0.73 I have two problems. The first is that i placed .tmda directories in the user accounts as suggested in the vmailmgr howto section for tmda. However TMDA doesn't look in those directories for its whitelist etc. Instead it always looks in /home/domain.com/.tmda/ instead of /home/domain.com/users/scott/.tmda. This is not such a big deal but I wonder why its doing this as its not the expected result. My Second problem is that TMDA requires my external mail sources to confirm their email address for every message. Even after they have confirmed and i have recieved mail from them they still get confirmation messages. If you would like to observe the behavior mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] I can add you to my whitelist but the next message you send it will ask again. here is my .qmail file for the domain in question |preline /usr/local/tmda/bin/tmda-filter |/usr/local/bin/vdeliver Any help would be greatly appreciated. That includes a place to start looking, although a nice turnkey solution would be great ;-) Let me know if there is any other useful information I can provide.
