Okay,

I wrote a request for help with this problem a couple days ago, and got two good responses that led me down the road to success.

Or so I thought...

I have a .qmail files setup that look like this.

   .qmail
      | preline /var/tmda-0.77/bin/tmda-filter
      /var/qmail/path.to.users.directory/Maildir/

and
   .qmail-default -> ./qmail

What happens is qmail tells me

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at domain.dom.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)

I have tried using only .qmail-default with the settings used in .qmail, but this lets all mail but an 'address-@' type through, not exactly what I want. I tried creating two separate .qmail files. .qmail and .qmail-default, both with the same info in them, this sends me the confirmation message, but then it never goes anywhere, no error though. I also tried to use a .qmail and a .qmail-default, with the .qmail-default not having the '| preline /var/tmda-0.77/bin/tmda-filter' in it. All fail.

Does anyone out there have an idea? I appreciate all suggestions.

Rodney
