I have received now this spam (all headers included):

It seems to be sent from [EMAIL PROTECTED] which is one of my emailaccounts
which is whitelisted.
I don't know what exactely I need to enter in TMDA to block those
emails. What I noticed is that the username in From was twice this
"jennajohnes". Can I block this somehow?

It looks like I'm not the only one then... hehe

This is the e-mail that prompted me to send out the note I did a few
days ago about mail that appears to come from ME, but really does not.

In fact, it was the same message, from someone named "Jenna Johnes" or
some other names starting with "Jenna" or "Jenny". The IP Addresses
they come from are all different too, so I can't block based on that.

However, I don't have my address in my whitelist (something that you
should NOT do, according to http://tmda.net/faq.cgi?req=all#4.10 ). If
you do whitelist your own address then people can use your address to
trick TMDA into thinking it is legitimate mail.

In my case, the mail was generating confirmation requests that were
sitting in my pending queue. That in itself is not really a problem,
because ultimately it still never made it to my inbox. However, I
didn't want that to even happen.

So the solution that Tim provided me the other day seems to do the
trick, although it depends on what mail server you are using. I am
using qmail. qmail has a file called "badmailfrom" in which I can place
my own e-mail address. Thus when an incoming e-mail transaction starts,
if the address that is claiming to send mail TO my system is my
address, it breaks the connection with an error code.

So, in summary, there are 2 things to look at.
1. Check the FAQ at http://tmda.net/faq.cgi?req=all#4.10
make sure that your own address is not in your whitelist.

2. If you are using qmail, or another mail server in which you can
reject connections based on the sender's email address, you can try
that too.
