You can't use the '\' to mean that the line continues. You just need to make sure that it's all on one line. Several other settings, such as FILTER_INCOMING and FILTER_OUTGOING will also need to specify the full path to the files rather than using the default settings, which are "~/.tmda/filters/incoming" and "~/.tmda/filters/outgoing". The '~' doesn't work correctly under vpopmail.
