Hello, Sorry for my flurry of messages... I'm just trying to keep the issues I am having separate so they are easier to track (and hopefully useful to others someday).
Basically I have attempted to implement URL confirmation... My configuration is QMAIL + Vpopmail running in "system-wide" mode.. Here is the relevant part of a sent confirmation message: -------------------- ..... We had had to implement strict email policies due to the volume of junk- mail we have recieved over the years. By clicking the folowing url http://www.net-virtual.com/cgi-bin/tmda.cgi?89&[EMAIL PROTECTED] virtual.com&1060033134.64311.406efe you will verify your email address and this and all future emails will be allowed to proceed uninterrupted. ..... -------------------- The problem is, when I click this URL, it reports the following: (NOTE: euid 3600/ egid 11100 is the id the web server runs as, which I think may be part of the problem? It is not switching to the vpopmail userid (89).... What do you think?... ------------------- Error: No such user Cause: User [EMAIL PROTECTED] not found Additional: Running in system-wide mode. Attempted to find user [EMAIL PROTECTED] with euid 3600, egid 11100.
