I've been running TMDA for about a year now. My small mail server, prior to TMDA, was receiving an average of 20-30 spams a day. A year later, I'm lucky to be receiving 5 spams a day. I received very little from the recent worms (maybe I have no friends???).
I believe (totally anecdotal) that TMDA has indirectly contributed to my spam reduction. Why, though, I can't quite put my finger to... One idea is that I'm using dated addresses for nearly all my outbound mail, and the strange format isn't picked up by most page scrapers. I'm sure there are some other variables involved I'm not identifying, but I was curious if others have noticed an overall decrease in spam (at the mail server, not as a result of non-delivery) after deploying TMDA. Sounds like a good research project for some motivated computer science major... --Brian _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
