In light of Jason's earlier comment that tmda is not just a C/R system anymore, do any of you folks use it for non-C/R purposes?
I think I've settled into an acceptable scheme for myself, and it doesn't actually use C/R. I use procmail to delete the bulk of the swen spam, then call spamassassin, then run tmda to do the rest of my filtering. TMDA's filtering syntax is much easier for me to read than procmail's, for the most part, although I'm not averse to using a procmail recipe if I find one I like. My ACTION_INCOMING is set to hold, not confirm, and I have a cron job that emails me every so often if there's anything in the pending queue. So, for me right now, tmda performs whitelist/blacklist functions as well as some basic filtering. It lets me keep unfamiliar mail out of my mailbox till *I* feel like dealing with it. A lot of my friends are not very technically savvy, so I figure it's my job to be flexible in the email department, not theirs. Anyway, I'm anal -- I know that I will take a look at all pending mail before it's ever in danger of being auto-deleted, and probably before most people even see their confirm message. So for me, 'hold' works better. -- monique _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
