David,

I'm posting your reply to the list--I hope you don't mind!

I've noticed this, too. I can't use localhost or the LAN IP address,

and

unfortunately the external name translates to localhost on my machine

when I

try to do a external.name.com:8025 connection from my machine to my

machine.

:(

It works for me, but _only_ if I specify (from memory) "-p localhost:8025" to specify what IP address to listen on.

This would probably work. Unfortunately, I need to connect to tmda-ofmipd from other computers on the LAN as well, so if I instruct tmda-ofmipd to listen to localhost, then it won't listen to an IP address specified by other computers.

I basically want tmda-ofmipd to listen to more than one IP address, e.g., -p localhost:8025 -p 192.168.1.100:8025, etc.

I suspect this might be a trivial fix in tmda-ofmipd, if tmda-ofmipd doesn't already support this. If it supports the multiple IP addresses, then I don't know how to specify them. Is it possible to instruct tmda-
ofmipd to listen to multiple IP addresses?

I use -p 0.0.0.0:8025 and it listens on all avaialable addresses.
