Actually, look a few messages back in this thread -- the question was posed whether a separate test mode would be possible. I completely agree with you that it would be useful, and as a user (especially one about to switch to a new system in a day or so!) would like to see it. I suggested the use of ACTION_HEADER_INCOMING with all rules set to 'ok' or 'hold' as a good way to see what rules would apply to what messages -- a second-best in the absence of a pending mode.
That's the "testing scenario" I was saying was equivalent to having the proposed 'ok-mark' action on every line. I think most concerned would agree with you that a test-mode would be a nice thing to see at some point. ;-)
