yes you are right, python does not allow to break the line anywhere,
basically i used evolution that break the line as
CONFIRM_APPEND =
os.path.expanduser("~/.tmda/lists/confirmed")
LOGFILE_DEBUG =
os.path.expanduser("~/.tmda/logs/debug")
LOGFILE_INCOMING =
os.path.expanduser("~/.tmda/logs/incoming")
LOGFILE_OUTGOING =
os.path.expanduser("~/.tmda/logs/outgoing")
but actual lines are same in file as you are talking about...
