Hello all,
I have problem with our current tmda setup on our ISP mail servers, in that
we recently begun using disk quota to limit the size of our customer
mailboxes according to what product they signed up for, and this isn't
interacting with TMDA correctly.
Whats happening, is that mail is delivered to tmda, in which it tries to
filter accordind to lists, but the email just sits in the que, and barfs an
error in logfile.debug in .tmda as a python exception.
This is what is in the "logfile.debug":
Uncaught Python 2.1.3 exception (Wed Dec 3 22:25:18 2003 UTC):
---------------------------------------------------------------
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/tmda-filter", line 50, in ?
execfile(os.path.join(execdir, 'tmda-rfilter'))
File "/usr/bin/tmda-rfilter", line 717, in ?
main()
File "/usr/bin/tmda-rfilter", line 679, in main
mta.deliver(message_headers, message_body)
File "./TMDA/MTA.py", line 57, in deliver
File "./TMDA/Deliver.py", line 137, in deliver
File "./TMDA/Deliver.py", line 263, in __deliver_maildir
OSError: [Errno 122] Disk quota exceeded
Now this mail is not delivered and acted on by TMDA until some more disk
space is available, and then it is delivered.
Has anyone seen a problem like this before, and/or can anyone provide help
on this?
I currently have the implemented mail servers running an old version of
TMDA, 0.56 (which is a little customised) , and python 2.1.3 ,
Ideally what I would like to happen, is that the disk quota system grabs the
mail before it gets to TMDA, and if quota exceeded, bounce back a msg to the
sender explaining so, and if disk quota ok, then pass through tmda.
On our central filer (where all the mail directories are stored), we run a
NetApp Filer, NAS solution.
I realise I should upgrade tmda to the most recent version (0.91?), but I
was hoping to wait until the stable tmda 1.0 was released before I do too
much work upgrading.
Thanks in advance.
