I don't use qmail, but I do almost exactly the same thing in Postfix. I reject mail that claims to be from a freemail source (e.g, yahoo.com, hotmail.com) but which was relayed from a non-freemail host. Legitimate uses of freemail should not be affected, but this stops almost all spam sent from a freemail address. Indeed, it did cut down tremendously on my influx of spam. 20% of the total volume of spam I was receiving was from yahoo.* alone, and this is now completely eliminated. For Postfix users, the method I use is described in http://jimsun.linxnet.com/misc/postfix-anti-UCE.txt (the ``Stopping Forged Freemail'' section). And of course, this can be done natively in Postfix (no messy 3rd party patches to apply). _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
