Or am I being thick?
No, tmda-pending is a little "thick". You can only use -O or -Y individually; you can't use them together. While looking at the Pending code a while ago it struck me that we only use one variable for the "age" comparison and I thought it odd, in passing, but didn't bother to explore why. This is a good reason, so consider it noted as a potential enhancement.
