More information on the same problem. I have confirmed by sending emails that Postfix is NOT causing the problem. Postfix is passing the correct information to TMDA via the headers. It was TMDA which was rewriting the header at the point where it appended the message to the mailbox file.
The TMDA incoming log shows the "To" address as being the naked (untagged) address. The headers in the pending queue, however, clearly show that all the headers have the tagged address.
