Well, '= true' is correct, at least for Exim 3.x. Has this changed in Exim 4.x?
It seems so. I've just looked in the documentation for both 3.x and 4.x and the syntax is "=true" for 3.x and "= <list of usernames>" in 4.x (where <list of usernames> can be "*" for all users).
This suggests that for Exim 4.x setting "=true" will enable it for the username "true" - hence why it didn't work for me but wasn't flagged as a syntax error.
