I can't help with the BSD and virtual domain and lack of home directory stuff; nor can I help with tmda-cgi, which is actually a separate application from tmda proper. Phrases like "Documentation on the website is not very helpful" are more likely to annoy people than to get them to help you, by the way. What problems are you running into? Your first step should be to read the "Installation" and "Configuration" sections straight off the left-hand menu on http://www.tmda.net . Then figure out how your configuration differs from what is described, and ask more specific questions. I don't think the "installation guide for tmda and tmda-cgi on exim3 and freebsd 4.8" has been written yet. Have you looked at http://mla.libertine.org/tmda-users/2002-11/msg00283.html , which is a link off of the pre-config page? It's for exim4, but a little bit of legwork might get you from that to the exim3 versino.
