There are sender address verification techniques that many MTAs implement that will prevent mail from undeliverable addresses from ever entering your system. This is preferred since it's at a level higher than TMDA. This was discussed recently. See also the smtp-check-sender script in contrib for a TMDA implementation of this. lists.sourceforge.net implements sender address verification for example. This is why you'll notice a reverse SMTP connection from that machine each time you send a message to a sourceforge mailing list. -- The future is uncertain, and the end is always near. _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
