I hope I have this on the right list. I'm trying to use tmda.cgi with
a vmailmgr system (version 0.96.9, Python version 2.3). I'm using the
CVS version of tmda-cgi from April 20th, since it has the vmailmgr
stub in it. It compiles and installs fine, but when I try to login
using [EMAIL PROTECTED], I get an incorrect password error, and
the source says:

Username [EMAIL PROTECTED] not found in system.
   str=

I've tried using both pop3:/localhost and checkvpw for authentication.
(I've checked through telnet to port 110 on localhost to make sure the
address and password do authenticate.) Both give me that same error.
Here are a few of the settings that might matter:

What mode should the CGI run in? [system-wide, single-user, no-su]
> system-wide

Which virtual user stub and parameters should I use for locating
virtual users? If your system does not have any virtual users, enter
"None".
> vmailmgr1 /usr/local/tmda-cgi/stubs/vmailmgrinfo.py ~

What real user name should I use when a virtual user logs in?
> root

Any suggestions? I was unsure what to answer on that last one, so I
went with 'root'. I have a typical vmailmgr setup, where each domain
is owned by a different user account, so I figured I'd have to run
system-wide.

Thanks,
