Generally what I do is the following...
In your .qmail-webmaster file have this...
&[EMAIL PROTECTED]
&[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Then protect each ben and chris account with tmda.

Subject: .qmail aliases circumvent tmda (new user)

Hello all,

I have just installed TMDA on one of my qmail+vpopmail boxes, and it
works great. I have several aliases set up that point to my tmda
protected mailbox, but tmda does not process messages delivered to the
alias.

Its pretty obvious why this is happening, if you take our webmaster
alias, the .qmail-webmaster file looks like this (webmaster forwards to
both chris and ben):

/home/vpopmail/domains/xxxxx.com/chris/Maildir/
/home/vpopmail/domains/xxxxx.com/ben/Maildir/

I don't think I want to process my postmaster alias that is set up the
same way, but I do get a lot of spam on the webmaster address and would
like it if tmda would protect it. Is it possible to rewrite the
.qmail-webmaster file like this:

|preline -f /home/vpopmail/tmda-1.0.3/bin/tmda-filter -c
/home/vpopmail/domains/xxxxx.com/chris/.tmda/config
|/home3/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail ''
|/home/vpopmail/domains/xxxxx.com/chris
|preline -f /home/vpopmail/tmda-1.0.3/bin/tmda-filter -c
/home/vpopmail/domains/xxxxx.com/ben/.tmda/config
|/home3/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail ''
|/home/vpopmail/domains/xxxxx.com/ben

(sorry if the lines wrap)

will it work? is there an easier way to force qmail to look at the local

user's .qmail-chris file instead of delivering directly to the Maildir?

TIA,
Chris
