Hello!
I'm new to TMDA. I currently run a hosting server using cPanel. I'd like to be able to install and configure TMDA for email accounts for various hosted accounts. I noticed a thread a while back in the list archives about someone named Jeremy trying to get this to work. Has anyone gotten this to work? Jeremy?
To quickly reiterate the problem:
With a cPanel-based hosting system, you have "hosting accounts" set up as linux user accounts:
/home/foo
/home/bar
The owners of each of these can then create email accounts, which would live in places like:
/home/foo/mail/joe
/home/foo/mail/sam
/home/bar/mail/adomain.com/jane
etc.
These user email accounts are mapped via alias files in /etc/ which are read and handled by exim rules. In theory, it should be reasonably straightforward to insert TMDA in the MTA delivery process that exim uses... in theory, that is. hehe.
So... is there a way to have TMDA work with a setup of this type, or is it really only going to work with one-to-one account mappings (i.e. one account for /home/foo and one account for /home/bar)?
Thanks in advance!
-Dan
