I'm trying to setup TMDA and I'm having a problem. I've looked at an
awful lot of information before coming here (Google, list archives,
FAQ's etc) so as not to waste everyone's time, but alas, I am stuck and
can't figure this out.

I'm trying to setup my installation according to this guide...

http://mung.net/~dude/howto/Qmail-vpop-qmailadmin-tmda.html

And I've gotten the challenges to work, and I can respond to them
getting my address added to the whitelist. So far, so good.

But now I'm looking at setting up tmda-ofmipd and trying to make it
work.

I'm running the command...

su vpopmail -c '/usr/local/src/tmda/bin/tmda-ofmipd -A
"/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /bin/true" -S
/usr/local/src/tmda/contrib/vpopmail-vdir.sh'

Per his instructions, and it seems to be working fine because I can
netstat -nap and see it listening on port 8025. I have also configured
my MUA to use port 8025, but something is still wrong. I can't send
mail to that port. The MUA (outlook) replies saying it can't establish
a connection, which is of course, very vague. I'm trying to connect
over my LAN which is unfirewalled, so I'm sure that cannot be the
problem.

I tried using the -d and -f options to debug in the foreground, but I
just don't know what it's expecting from me...

[EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]# su vpopmail -c '/usr/local/src/tmda/bin/tmda-ofmipd
-f -d -A "/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /bin/true" -S
/usr/local/src/tmda/contrib/vpopmail-vdir.sh'
tmda-ofmipd started at Sun Nov 7 18:08:56 CST 2004
        Listening on falcon.servershak.com:8025

But anything I enter here doesn't echo anything useful back to me. So
I'm not really sure how to troubleshoot this.

Someone else suggested that this is unnecessary for me to set this up,
but reading the aforementioned guide, it sure seems like it's required
in order to communicate with other TMDA systems.

Thanks in advance. Any help here would be appreciated.
