Hi,
I wonder if anyone has tried to integrate parts of TMDA CGI into Horde/IMP ?
Three questions popup:
1. Is it possible to use tmda-ofmipd for outgoing mail using Horde/IMP as webmail interface ?
Certainly. My old server used these products together. Just run tmda-ofmipd, make it bind to localhost(127.0.0.1) unless you have other needs, and point Horde at that port for outbound SMTP.
2. Is it possible to use some of the existing authentication from the Horde framework for TMDA CGI?
I'm not sure. You want tmda-cgi to authenticate against Horde?
What I did was have Horde/IMP authenticate against a pop3 server if I recall, and tmda-ofmipd also authenticated against that same pop3 server.
3. Has anyone considered/tried to implement/convert/migrate/integrate TMDA CGI into the Horde framework as a module ?
I'm not aware of anything along these lines.
