Subject: TMDA with Sendmail

So far I've been able to send email to an email account I've set up for TMDA, but sendmail doesn't like the "-" in the confimration email.  So how do I change the "-" to say a "+" which sendmail will like?  The documentation here is as clear as the mud at the bottom of the Marianas Trench.
