Not a lot can be done about this. I really hate Spamcop because of how much legitimate e-mail it blocks and how little checking they do before blocking sites.
One thing I do though is use SPF and have a TMDA rule: # SPF has marked it as forged. Do not confirm it. headers 'Received-SPF: fail' hold That way, if I know the e-mail is forged I do not confirm it. Unfortunately the number of sites on the Internet using SPF is quite low. I also have SPF records for my domains so that others using SPF know when e-mail coming from my domain is forged. Spammers unfortunately are using my own personal domain for forging From addresses and there isn't much I can do about it. Anyone running SPF can flat out block all of that spam because they know it is not from me. > Date: Fri, 25 Aug 2006 07:31:26 -0700 (PDT) > From: David Hoffman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: Allyn Baskerville <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, tmda-users@tmda.net > Subject: Re: My server is on a blacklist site - tweak TMDA to keep from > challenging BL sites > > TMDA is a Challenge-Response based system.
