I have been using tmda 1.0.3 for a few years with the following
configuration:

 Fedora Core 4
 tmda-1.0.3-1
 postfix-2.2.2-2
 dovecot-0.99.14-4.fc4
 squirrelmail-1.4.6-0.cvs20050812.1.fc4

I am trying to update/modernize everything, so I am setting up a new email
machine:

 Fedora 8
 tmda-1.1.12-1.fc8
 postfix-2.4.5-2.fc8
 dovecot-1.0.7-2.fc8
 squirrelmail-1.4.11-2.fc8

Everything is working ... except for tmda.

When I send a message to myself ...

If I rename my .forward file ... so that "| /usr/bin/tmda-filter" is not
in the delivery path ... then messages get delivered without problems.

When I put the .forward file in the path, then the messages do not get
delivered. I can see from looking at ~/.tmda/incoming.log that I am
getting a loop of confirmation request messages.

When I first set this up I tried migrating my config files.

This morning I went through the tmda configuration from scratch, but ended
up with the same results.

My whitelist contains my own email address, both explicitly and as as
wildcard within the domain.

It looks to me like my whitelist is not being used.

I looked at file permissions, but everything looks OK to me.

Q: Any suggestions as to where I should start looking?

I tried turning on LOGFILE_DEBUG ... but got nothing.

Q: Are there switches that I can enable in order to get more trace output?

Thanks,
Michael
