tmda-gui in Mac OS X

Just for the heck of it - I was playing with tmda-0.73 in Mac OS X 
today. I have a working install of tmda on my Linux server and that's 
the one I normally use, but I thought I would toy with tmda on Mac 
platform and report the results to the Mac community in case anyone 
wanted to use it on Mac platform.

Anyway - just for the heck of it I tried ./tmda-gui in the terminal and 
lo and behold, a new window appeared, complete with Aqua btns (OS X 
style btns), etc. Unfortunately I am unable to select or change focus 
to the GUI window. Any time I click on the window I get the following 
msg in the terminal:

   SetFrontProcess failed,-606

Does anyone have any ideas what the solution may be to be able to 
activate items within the tmda-gui?
