The HTML is correct, iff you had the sidebar text size set to "Large" in the theme settings when you copied the source.
If that is the case, it looks like your browser has cached the old "style.css" file, so the "smaller" links are actually not getting the proper font/colour/size/etc.
To fix:
Press "F5" (reload/refresh) in the browser, or close the browser and try again. If it still looks the same, you may have to empty your cache (though Mozilla 5.0 should be fine).
Give that a shot. You should see (when the size is set to "small") the big links get smaller, the small links stay the same. The font and colours should not change.
If you think the small links are still too big, I can make this text-size option reduce them too. Maybe I'll do so anyway... stand by for a forthcoming further CVS update.
