Any ideas why these files are recompiled after being installed
Naturally, now that it's been a few minutes since posting to a mailing list, I have a bit more information: running "strings" over a representative sample of .pyc files suggests that the affected files contain absolute paths to "Foo.pys", whereas the unaffected files contain relative paths.
