I totally agree about having a wider spread for maintainership. I don't think the stable branch would require much time to maintain. That is the only real "need" we have at the moment. The "unstable" branch is just gravy right now. > I am pretty familiar with tmda-ofmipd's code, but really not too > familiar with the rest of TMDA. Yes, I'm confident you'd be able to learn the rest fairly quickly from what I've seen of you in the past. > So yes, I'd certainly be interested in some form of role in > maintaining TMDA. I think the thing everyone should take away from this discussion is that there is no pressure or obligation here. There is also no Spring, just the wind that smells fresh before the storm, but I digress. Seriously though, whatever you or anyone else can offer at this point is better than the current nothing, right? People will come and go as their lives change directions, and that is all understandable. Whether it's a day, a week, a year or longer you can spare, it's all good. Who knows, someday things may settle down for me and I'll be back again, but now just isn't the time. > I'm guessing the best way to get things going is to unlock the > existing TMDA wiki so we can document any problems people know > about, and any patches for those, or enhancements. I've just unlocked it. If those Chinese assfuckers start attacking it again though, I'll have to come up with some sort of ACL. Also, Stephen, do you have a sourceforge account? If not create one and send me your username so I can add you to the list of developers who have write access to the CVS repository among other things. Thanks. _________________________________________________ tmda-workers mailing list ([email protected]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-workers
