Thanks for your inputs! I appcreciate them a lot.

We now implemented a solution with qpsmtp that was mentioned on this
list the other day as well. I hope this solution will work for us.

Running on Gentoo we first had to build the latest tmda-cgi and TMDA
packages. Now we seem to be running again.
