Whoo Hoo! Go
Karyne!
Mind you, it's
pretty much the same for the doctors who say "no, I won't prescribe that, I
don't believe in it"
I feel like
asking them what particular pain/disability they are living
through!

Subject: RE: [TMIC] Question for the
ladies
Hi Girrrrls,
TM, and the stress of it all does seem to
affect timing, frequency, flow, quantity etc (no explanations from the Drs
- live with it - its what happens from male ob/gyn's - I swear, if guys had
to go through it each month they would get pain period leave!) and if you
have taken steroids the whole lot is messed up even further!
I had
just gotten back to a more regular pattern and chemo then made things all
screwy again! (Male) ob/gyn suggested I have a Merina implant to
mainly stop my periods and also for contraceptive value (as I can no longer
take the pill) and when I asked if he had looked up the side effects on the
net he answered that he hasn't but they are not too bad!! So I politely
declined and told him to look into further with women who have used it and
not what he had read of the drug company propaganda (ok, now off the
soapbox)
Of course age also may be a factor, but talk to the relevant
medical specialist, female if possible. Love Karyne
