I tried accupuncture. It helped a little bit for a short time.
Hypnosis worked better.
Opioids didn't help me at all.
Your husband probably has Central Neuropathic Pain as do a lot of us.
My neurologist, Dr. Kerr at Johns Hopkins ("The Man"), put me on a regime of
Nortriptyline, Phenobarbital, dextromethorphan and Marinol ( a synthetic
cannabinoid available by prescription). This mixture of meds work on the pain
in different, but synergistic, ways so one plus one plus one plus one equals
eight!!!
