Frank Hi Frank,   This might sound silly but is there any way you can interrupt the flow of water from the jets by fixing a hand towel to the nozzle, with a wide rubber band or something?  That might slow the water down and soften the spray enough so that you might find it tolerable.   Peace, Jude
