Hi Ella ~    I have a TENS unit.....it looks almost identical to this "new" one....the pads are identical as is the wiring....the only difference I noticed was the placement of the gel pads.  I'm going to try that with my TENS unit and see if it helps the pain in my lumbar.    If anyone decides to buy it and try it, PLEASE let us know if it works because if it does work better than a TENS unit, I want one...!
